How To Make A Great Film

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
Any great film needs to tell a story.

Therefore to make a great film the first thing is to put the camera away!

Storyboard what you want the film to tell - the story that it should communicate that is.

Then ensure that each person in the film understands the overall story and their role in it. This will help get convincing actions and ad libs from the characters - you can't act what you don't understand!

The film should lead itself naturally from there, because the story is half the battle won. A great film with a bad story is a bad film. A good story with bad filming is still half decent and watchable!
