iPad | How to Import Photos/Video to Your iPad Using the Camera Connection Kit

These are instructions on how to import photos and video to your iPad from a camera or SD memory card using the Camera Connection Kit.

Step One
If you want to import from a camera simply connect the dock connector to usb adapter to your iPad and connect the usb cable from your camera to the adapter.

If you want to import from a camera simply connect the dock connector to sd card adapter to your iPad and insert your SD memory card.


Step Two
The iPad will immediately open the Photos app to the Camera tab and display thumbnails of the images stored on your camera or SD card.


Step Three
If you wish to import all the photos you can press the Import All button at the top right.


Otherwise, press to select the images you would like to import then press the Import button.


Choose Import Selected from the popup menu that appears.


Step Four
The iPad will now begin importing your photos or video. Notice the blue selected checkmark becomes green once the item has been imported.


Step Five
Once complete the iPad will let you know that your import has finished. You can choose to Delete the photos/video from your device or memory card. If you want to leave them just press Keep


Step Six
You can find your newly imported media under the Photos, Albums and Events tab.
